Why IDentiBoard

A new, more effective means of processing passengers and improvising the airline boarding will be NEC Asia's Airline Identity Boarding or in short NEC IDentiBoard, a system to ensure the same person who cleared the immigration will be boarding the correct flight at all time. It will also increase operational efficiency in flight boarding with automation single or multi-modal biometrics recognition technology while heightening security at the airport. With such implemented system, airline will have a secured and informative system in managing their passengers.

Workflow

IDentiBoard will be able to integrate into existing airport workflow system of check-in, clearing immigration and airline departure gate.
At Check-in counter, each passenger will be presenting their passport to the staff and a boarding pass will be generated. Passenger information will be loaded into airline ticket information system.
During immigration clearance using automated border control gate or normal manual immigration counter, upon presenting their passport, each passenger photo image or/and Fingerprint will be taken and store into existing Immigration system.
At the flight departure gate, traveler will present their passport at automated biometric kiosk. Options of multi-modal biometric authentication where a live Facial photograph will be taken or/and Fingerprints will be capture to verify with the photograph or/and Fingerprints taken at the immigration. The above operation can also be implemented at the departure gate counter operated by the airline staffs with Passport Scanner, Camera and Fingerprint Scanner.
There will be background processes to check from the Immigration system and the airline ticket information system to ensure it is the correct passenger boarding the flight at this time. After verification cleared, passenger will be allowed to board the plane.
